A short story about us
In the heart of Chicago's Thai community, a quiet yet powerful movement began. It started simply, with concerned parents at a local Sunday school, their voices tinged with worry as they reached out for help. They found themselves unable to assist their children with homework, the language barrier a formidable wall between them and their kids' education. The math their children were learning was foreign, a far cry from the methods they had known. Gone were the familiar timetables, replaced by new concepts they struggled to grasp.
Bridging Gaps: Empowering Chicago's Thai Youth
These parents, driven by love and a deep desire to see their children succeed, were heartbroken by their limitations. They couldn’t afford tutoring services, and the helplessness weighed heavy on their hearts. It was in this environment that Audy and Lindsey, two compassionate young souls, were often asked to help with the children's math homework. Through this, they came to a profound realization—these kids weren’t as fortunate as they had been. The disparity tugged at their hearts, sparking a deep commitment within them to make a difference. And so, they stepped up, driven by a shared passion to ensure every child had the support they needed to thrive.
